What is Kids Global Festival 2026?

Let's play and talk with people from around the world!

Kids Global Festival is an event designed for children aged 3 to 15, where they can meet people from around the world, experience different cultures, and foster intercultural understanding.

Through conversations, games, and workshops, children explore diverse cultures and values while expanding their global perspective in a fun and engaging way. The festival features a wide range of programs, including traditional costume experiences, challenges such as writing names in different languages, interactive booths hosted by global organizations and companies, and talks by distinguished guests.

With both English and Japanese language options available, everyone can participate comfortably. Join us for this special day of global connections and cultural discovery.

Program List

Global Conversation Plaza

The main activity of the festival is an opportunity for children to casually engage in conversations and interactions with people from around the world, each with their own diverse cultural backgrounds. As they freely talk with international guests, children can deepen their understanding of different cultures and learn about famous landmarks, traditional foods, and customs from various countries. Whether they are confident in English or not, everyone is welcome. Even those who are not fluent in English can enjoy communication through gestures and simple phrases, experiencing the joy of overcoming language barriers. Unlike typical international exchange events, this activity provides a space where children can naturally connect with people from around the world through language, taking their first step toward global communication.

World Traditional Costume
Experience Plaza

A booth where you can experience the charm of different cultures by wearing traditional costumes from around the world. Each traditional outfit reflects the history and customs of its country or region, allowing participants to feel a deeper connection to different cultures by touching and wearing them. Photo opportunities are available, making it a great way to create special memories of the festival. This booth offers a valuable opportunity to learn about diversity through cultural attire.

Global Experience Plaza
(Activities & Workshops Provided by Participating Organizations)

At this festival, a diverse range of participating organizations will offer activities, workshops, and lectures based on their areas of expertise. With themes spanning cultural experiences, games, and intercultural understanding, the festival provides hands-on programs that allow children to learn and enjoy through direct experiences. By actively engaging in these activities, children can deepen their understanding of different cultures and gain new perspectives. Through the unique programs designed by each organization, we create a space where the world feels closer and more accessible.

Name Writing Challenge
in Languages of the World!

An activity where you can enjoy experiencing linguistic diversity by writing and pronouncing your name in various languages from around the world. With the support of international volunteers and staff, participants can try writing in languages they may not often encounter, such as Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, and Thai. By learning about different scripts and languages, children can develop curiosity and a deeper understanding of different cultures. Discover how your name is expressed across the world and take the first step toward international exchange!

Global Connection Experience Booths

At the festival venue, interactive booths hosted by various participating organizations will offer unique activities for all visitors. From cultural experiences, traditional crafts, international exchange games, simple country games, SDGs learning, and sports activities, there will be plenty of engaging programs for both children and adults to enjoy. Through hands-on experiences, participants will gain new perspectives and deepen their curiosity about different cultures. This festival provides a space where people can explore and enjoy the diversity of the world while learning through interaction.

On the Occasion of the Kids Global Festival

We want to create more opportunities for children to connect with the world. That's why we organized Kids Global Festival.
By interacting beyond language and cultural differences, we hope children will feel, "The world is fun! The world is big!".

We want them to see English not just as a subject to study but as a tool to connect with people worldwide. Through this, they can discover the joy of cultural exchange and international connections. With the support of various organizations, this festival aims to broaden children’s horizons, help them embrace diversity, and open new possibilities for their future.

Since this is our first event, we don’t know how much demand there is. But we believe that simply bringing children and people from different cultures together to play and talk will make for an unforgettable experience.
I wish I had a festival like this when I was a child!
It may be small in scale, but let’s have fun connecting with the world together!

Organization

Organization:
NPO Kids International Village Japan (KIV)
An international exchange & English conversation community where children connect with people from around the world!
Founded in 2017 as a volunteer citizen organization, we aimed to create more opportunities for Japanese children to interact with foreigners and speak English in a casual setting.
In May 2020, we became a certified non-profit organization (NPO) recognized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
As a third space different from schools and traditional English classes, we provide a social contribution-based community where all children can engage in international exchange and English conversation with people from diverse backgrounds living in Japan—at an affordable cost similar to pocket money.
Currently, we organize numerous multicultural and multilingual events that promote diversity and inclusion through language and cultural exchange.
